Apply for Financial Assistance

The FBBC annual budget allows for financial assistance to members of First Bilingual Baptist Church. These funds are intended to cover household bills for necessities such as utilities, rent, electricity, gas, medical, and other bills.

Please note that a request is not a guarantee of funds. Each request is reviewed individually.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are funds distributed?

The church office will make a payment or check directly to the company that issued the bill. We do not give out cash or gift cards.

What are the limits for funds?

The total amount for the year is set by members of FBBC at the annual budget meeting. The total for each request is handled on an individual basis

Can I give toward the Member Assistance Fund?

Yes. You can designate to this fund through online giving or in-person giving.

Is my request anonymous?

Every request is shared with the Member Assistance Committee for a final decision. The committee keeps a record of all requests and disbursements, which is available to the elders of the church. We may ask for permission from the person requesting to share the need with the church to raise additional funds.

Members of FBBC may ask the committee about needs and disbursements. While the total amount of disbursements are shared for the budget, the details disclosed will be at the discretion of the Member Assistance Committee.

Can I request a loan for a financial need?

No. We do not provide loans. We only pay bill on behalf of members of FBBC.
