Update on FBBC Finances

Hello FBBC Family,

On behalf of the Finance Committee and the elders, I just wanted to update and encourage you with some news regarding our church’s financial status during this time.

1. This is, and will continue to be, a difficult time financially for many people, including some of our members. As I’ve said before, please talk to someone if you are experiencing a need. We are a family in Christ, and we are here to help and support one another. You can especially feel free to reach out to your FLG Leader or an elder.
   
   
2. With many people experiencing reduced wages at this time, we recognize that adjustments may need to be made to your giving. Providing for the needs of your family is a biblical priority, so there’s no need to feel guilty if your giving needs to decrease at this time. Keep in mind, however, that the Lord will bless you for whatever you cheerfully give, and our church wants to be good stewards of whatever we receive.
   
   
3. Despite the downward trend of offering lately, I’d like you to know that our church is not in a financial crisis. Thanks to your generosity in years past, we are in a place to weather this storm, though we are making adjustments on our end to limit or stop some of the previous ongoing expenses (e.g. cleaning services, utilities, etc.).
   
   
4. I’m pleased to announce that, in an effort to serve you during this time, we have now added the ability to give online. For more information, or to give, visit fbbchurch.org/give. Online giving allows you to give with a credit or debit card, or by using an E-check (using your routing and account numbers). There is a small fee that FBBC pays for online transactions, but that fee is greatly reduced if you give with an E-check.
